Part Three: Setting up Options so that eCheck will record your marks

Now we set up the application called "Options" so that we can perform additional configurations on eCheck.

  1. Select Run -> External Tools -> External Tools Configuration. This will cause the "External Tools Configurations" Dialog to appear. Click once on "eCheck". Select the "Duplicate" icon. It looks like this: Pasted Graphic
  2. You will see a configuration called "eCheck (1)" has been created. Modify this configuration as follows. In the "Name:" field, modify the value so that it is "Options" (without the quotes)
  3. For the field "Arguments:" erase the value and instead cut and paste into it the following: Options
  4. Click on "Apply" and then "Run"
  5. The "Options" application will start up and you will see the following dialog:

  • Deselect the "Work Offline" option is it is not already. Enter your creditials (the cse****** login and password)
  • For the eCheck URL, cut and paste the following: http://www.cse.yorku.ca/~roumani/type/ec/ec1710.cgi
  • Select "Apply"
