Project Status

Project phases include the Project Definition, Research, Implementation, Testing, Integration, Finalization and Presentation. The project is currently in the integration phase. We have ordered and received hardware and are currently writing code in TinyOS. Check both our original and current Gantt Chart timelines to compare the project's intended and actual progress.

    Tyson and Patrick met to complete Contract Proposal. The proposals were completed and was sent to the rest of the team for changes and editing.
  • October 5, 2006
    Meeting with Prof. Vlajic to discuss details of the project and determine major milestones to accomplish and set expectations for the project.
  • October 2, 2006
    Hamdi met with Prof. Vlajic as she expressed interest in the Soldier Monitoring System. The meeting was very productive and formulated different forms of attack for the project in hand. She had agreed to become an advisor.
  • September 24, 2006
    Meeting to finalize idea proposals were held at 1 pm in the CS building. Four proposals were developed to be sent to all professors for review. These proposals can be viewed in the Proposals section.
  • September 21, 2006
    Group meeting at 10:30 am to decide on ideas. After a meeting with Prof. Vlajic, the group decided to change direction and decide to work on a project involving wireless sensor networks. To provide enough time to formulate ideas, a meeting for the 24th of September was scheduled to finalize proposals to present to different professors that might be willing to be our advisor.
