- It is now final and official: We are back as of Monday Feb
2. WELCOME BACK! We meet Tuesdays/Thursdays 10 am as
always, same place. Our first class is on Feb 3 and the last one on Feb
19. Sessional dates are now updated here.
- Hi all! Note
the latest from Senate Executive, a list of possible start
dates for the completion of the fall term: http://www.yorku.ca/yfile/archive/index.asp?Article=11911.
It seems, from the list and external factors that we all know of, that,
with a high probability, we will resume our Logic class on Tuesday, Feb
3, 2009, same time, same place. When we first meet (again) I will talk
about what we may need to omit from the original syllabus to make
things fit in a reality where we will be two lectures short (and
have to spend some time to reconnect), and what homework
(other than #3) will be assigned. After this discussion we will then
recall where we
were at in November, and take it from there. Let me repeat that Problem Set #3 is
NOT yet due. It
will likely be due the week following (this will be, of course, posted
here and announced in class). By the way, Senate Exec has
already posted the "length of term remaining" (see
this, p.3), according to which we
will meet for three Tuesdays and three Thursdays to end the term.
- Consistently
with the information posted by Senate Executive and found
in the links of the following bullet, let me emphasise that Problem Set
#3 will not be due until
after we meet in class, after the strike is declared over and classes
start, and until after we cover all the information needed for the
problem set (we were "mid sentence" on some topics when the strike
started). A new date will be posted here after we have at least one
class.
- Here
is the latest updated information from the Senate Executive regarding
how the terms (fall, winter) will be affected by the strike. This
link is also useful as it reorders the information found in the
previous link. Have a great
holiday, see you in the new year!
- Due to the CUPE strike all deadlines will be extended. The
new
deadlines will be determined and posted after the strike. Full
information for students is found at this link. Once on
that page, start by clicking "General
Questions" link.
- (November 4, 2008). Problem Set #3 and grades for #1, #2 and MidTerm
are posted. Grades are HERE.
- (Oct 8, 2008) There are three errata in the solutions for
#1, typeset
in blue colour in the
new solutions.
- The first assignment is posted; see below. All assignments
are due at 2pm on the posted
date, in the
course box on the wall of CSEB1003 near the atrium. NOT in class!
