Midterm

• The midterm is closed-book, but APIs will be provided if necessary.
• The midterm will take place on Thursday June 21 during class time.
• The midterm will cover Chapter 4-9 of the textbook. Note, however, the following points:
  • Some material has been excluded (see news).
  • The textbook covers both the client and the implementer views. In this course, our focus is on the implementer's view because the client view has already been covered in CSE1020.
  • Material covered in class (before GUI), including the posted notes, is also included.
• On the day of the test, remember to bring a photo ID and optionally a (non-electronic) dictionary.
• An answer booklet will be provided and you will write everything in it. In particular, you may not bring any blank sheets of paper for scratch work.
• The questions will focus on concepts, but you may also be asked to write small snippets of code. A sample midterm can be found here.
