TESTS and FINAL EXAM
Term Tests
- The term tests are closed-book, but a brief API sheet will be
provided.
- On the day of the test, remember to bring a photo ID and
optionally a dictionary.
- An answer booklet will be provided and you
will write everything in it. In particular, you may not bring any blank sheets of paper for scratch
work.
- Sample test
questions are available on the textbook website.
Lab Tests
- The lab tests are done in the Prism lab (CSEB1004).
- You must attend the lab session in which you are officially registered.
- On the day of the test, remember to bring a photo ID.
- You will be given one or more test questions at the start of the
scheduled lab. These questions must be completed during the time of
the scheduled lab.
- You may use the web browser to
access the APIs of Java and the TYPE software.
- You will submit your test answers using the
submit
command. Type man submit
on any
Prism lab machine to learn how this command works. The submit
command will be operational throughout the duration of the scheduled
lab and will become disabled at the end of the lab.
- Sample questions and hints will be posted here in advance of the lab tests.
Final Exam
- Material related to the final exam will be posted closer to the end of
the term.

- The duration of the tests will be announced in class.
- Tests written in pencil will not be eligible for
re-marking.
- The tests are closed-book but an
Information Sheet will be provided.
