Computation of the final mark
Letters are converted into numbers using York University's official grading
scheme.
Grade |
Grade point |
A+ | 9 |
A | 8 |
B+ | 7 |
B | 6 |
C+ | 5 |
C | 4 |
D+ | 3 |
D | 2 |
E | 1 |
F | 0 |
The numbers are multiplied by the weight (percentage) of the corresponding
assignments and tests and these weighted numbers are added. The total is
converted to a letter, again using the above grading scheme. For example,
a total of 6.50 results in a B+ whereas a total of 6.30 results in a B.
