Wireless Sensor Networks

Sensor networks are wireless networks of very simple, low-cost and typically low-power nodes which are capable of doing some sensing tasks, some computation and wireless communication. Therefore, the protocols and even underlying ideas used for traditional high-speed networks are not useful for building them, and we have to rethink solutions to some of the basic networking problems including medium access control, addressing and routing.
