I am currently a researcher at IBM-Almaden, working on the
Cognitive
Computing project.
During 2011 I was a post-doctoral research scientist in the
Department of
Computer Science and Engineering
at York University
working under the supervision of Professor
John K. Tsotsos.
I completed my Ph.D. on Active Object Recognition in January 2011.
In 2005 I completed an M.Sc. degree at York University. My M.Sc.
thesis dealt with medical
imaging and the analysis of cardiac MR images.
In 2003 I completed an Honours B.Sc. at the
University of Toronto, in Computer Science and
Mathematics, graduating top of my class in Computer Science.
My current research interests lie in the areas of Vision-based
Robotics,
Active Vision, Object Recognition, and Medical Imaging.
