The bulk of undergraduate computing needs for Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors are met by the Prism facility. The Prism facility supports all computer science and computer engineering majors and consists of a general purpose laboratory consisting of Linux operating system based computers. In addition the adjoining Prism Teaching Lab is available when there is no scheduled teaching sessions.

Access to Prism from off-campus is provided either via an SSH client.

The Prism general use lab (CSE1006) is equipped with 40 Linux workstations. The Teaching Labs (CSE1004A and B) are equipped with workstations running Linux and Windows.

The printers located in the Prism Lab allow students to print their jobs to a hold queue, they can select the jobs they wish to print using the touch screen at the print stations and the jobs are printed for them while they wait.
