will also give a presentation called "Graffiti vs. Unistrokes: An
empirical comparison".

April 1 – class rescheduled to CSE3033, 11:00-12:30. MSc oral exam presentation

discussion in class yesterday about the threshold for significance when testing
hypotheses. I mentioned that the
accepted threshold is p < .05 and mentioned that this is the same as
the expression "19 times in 20" that we so often read concerning the
significance of opinion polls. Click here for an example
