CSE 6329 Advanced Human-Computer Interaction

Fall 2007

Project

Due: Sunday, December 9, 2007 @ 11:59 p.m.

Changes in red.

The Project component of this course involves doing a research project and producing a research paper.   The paper must be formatted as per submissions to "CHI" – the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, sponsored by the ACM's SIGCHI.

For the research project, you must conduct a comparative evaluation conforming to the scientific method, as presented in class.  The project involves posing a testable research question (or questions) and then answering it (them) through a user study.  The evaluation is "comparative" because two or more conditions are tested and compared.

The paper should be 6-8 formatted pages.

Submission.  Submit your project paper as a PDF or DOC file in Prism using the command 'submit 6329 project project.xxx', where xxx is either pdf or doc.  Perferably, submit both a pdf and a doc version of your paper.
